BLACK / AFRICAN HISTORY MONTH VIRTUAL PRESENTATIONS

February is Black History Month; it is both a wonderful and important time to recognize and honour those who have made impactful contributions to our Catholic tradition and Canadian heritage and of their ongoing struggle for equity and social justice.

St. Gregory the Great will be participating in Black History Month activities and events that honour the legacy of Black Canadians, past and present.  It will be an opportunity to recognize a number of school and board wide learning experiences that have been planned for the month.

Among the various events,  we are thankful to the students of the Afro-Caribbean Culture Club at St. Brother Andre CHS for hosting the Reading Rainbow Assembly.  On Tuesday February 16, classes are welcomed to join live streamed readings of books written by Black authors.
