St. Gregory the Great Academy is proud to announce that it has been awarded the National Quality Label by the European eTwinning Teachers Education Institution, in collaboration with the University of Florence and the Department of Primary Education Sciences (Scienze della Formazione Primaria – UniFi), Italy, for its outstanding work on two international projects: “Spreading Peace Beyond Borders” and “Identiteta nu Platnu : Spreading Culture through Art.”
This achievement celebrates the creativity, dedication, and hard work of our students, who have strengthened their Italian language skills, deepened their understanding of Italian culture, and shared aspects of Canadian culture in Italian with students in Italy and other European countries.
Through eTwinning, students collaborate with peers across Europe in a safe online learning environment, exchanging ideas, exploring cultural traditions, and presenting their work. These experiences nurture language development, creativity, confidence, and cultural awareness, helping students develop a broader understanding of the world around them.
We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Jessica Favia, the eTwinning project coordinator in Italy, and Mrs. Maria Rita Romualdi for their valuable collaboration, dedication, and shared vision in creating engaging learning experiences that bring together art, language, and culture.
Congratulations to our SGG students on this well-deserved international recognition!
We are incredibly proud of their commitment, enthusiasm, and wonderful work!
