Grade 7 Immunization Clinic

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Every year, Public Health Units across Ontario offer Grade 7 students immunizations against Hepatitis B, Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and Meningococcal disease. During the COVID19 pandemic, these in-school immunization clinics were put on hold. It is now time to revisit these
important immunizations and help students catch up with what has been missed.
In partnership with York Region Public Health, Stouffville Medical Centre will be hosting community immunization clinics at Eastridge Missionary Church (12485 Tenth Line, Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON L4A 7X3) for any eligible students who are interested in receiving these vaccines. Vaccinations are offered by appointment only. Parents will be informed when York Region Public Health opens additional student catch-up vaccination clinic locations in April.

Immunizations and Eligibility
❖ Hepatitis B (Engerix)* – offered to students in Grades 7 to 10
❖ Human Papillomavirus-9 (Gardasil-9) – Grades 7 to 12, along with any female
student who graduated in 2020 or 2021 (born in 2002 or 2003)
❖ Meningococcal ACYW-135 (Nimenrix or Menactra) – Grades 7 to 12, along with any student who has graduated and is yet to receive the vaccine
*For those students who are interested in receiving the Hepatitis B vaccine (Engerix): if you have turned 16 years of age since receiving your first dose, please make a note of this at the time of your booking as
this will impact your dosing schedule. This does not apply to other vaccines.
