World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate people with Down Syndrome around the globe. In 2012, the United Nations declared March 21st, the 21st day of the 3rd month of the year, as WDSD. On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, the Archdiocese of Toronto announced it would be accepting donations for humanitarian relief in response to the tragedy unfolding in Ukraine. Funds collected by the Archdiocese will be channeled to the Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA) and the Office for Refugees, Archdiocese of Toronto (ORAT).
