Ontario has designated Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week  November 15-21, 2020.  At SGG staff and students will be participating in daily activities with themes to help promote a safe and positive learning environment which is essential to success.  Here are the highlights for the week!

Bullying Awareness & Prevention Week

The York Region Alliance of African Canadian Communities, supported by the Government of Canada, is hosting its Sankofa Virtual Saturday Mornings Storytelling and Poetry Program.

The program is “rooted in African and Caribbean art” and it will take place every Saturday beginning November 14, 2020 until March 27, 2021 from 11:30 am to 12 pm.

As we approach Halloween we anticipate the joy of those who will wish to celebrate this time with great happiness. Both face-to-face and remote students wishing to mark this occasion are encouraged to wear a Halloween costume on Friday, October 30th along with their masks, as per Public Health and the York Catholic District School Board’s expectations.
